  1. Connect the printer to the network: Connect the printer to your local network and configure its IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server using the printer's control panel. Use a web browser to access the printer's web configuration page by typing its IP address into the address bar to test the network connection.
  2. Configure your register: Login to the 1Retail solution and navigate to "Register" > "Stores". Click on the store that you are setting up, or create a new store if you haven't already. Go to the "Registers" tab, select the register that you are setting up, or create a new register if you haven't already. Input the printer's IP address and check the "Generate Printer SSL Cert" checkbox.
  3. Obtain the custom SSL certificate: Hit "Save" and reopen the register settings. Select "Download" from the certificate section to obtain the custom SSL certificate.
  4. Configure the SSL certificate: On the printer's web configuration page, navigate to the "Maintenance" > "Network" > "TCP/IP" > "Advanced" > "Security" tab. Here, select the "Use SSL" option and configure the custom SSL certificate for secure communication. The certificate password is typically "changeit".
  5. Save the changes: Click "Save" to apply the changes and restart the printer to ensure that the custom SSL certificate is properly configured.
  6. Your SSL certificate also needs to be installed on your device
